Montgomery, on the Alabama River, provides visitors with a hearty helping of Southern hospitality. An important city in the civil rights movement, Montgomery features its Civil Rights Memorial.

The city also has 25 state and city parks that are great for jogging, hiking, walking and relaxing. Gunter Hill Park and K & K Recreational Vehicle Park are just two of the large parks in the area.
