Destin is on the Florida panhandle just a few miles east of Fort Walton Beach on Choctawhatchee Bay. Like a lot of other cities in Florida, there's plenty of fun in the sun to be had, but, to the delight of many, that's about all there is to do.

While other destinations in Florida offer tourist attractions - museums, amusement parks, etc. - for everyone, Destin is more about relaxing on beautiful, white-sand beaches while enjoying umbrella drinks.
