Nebraska is a land of contrasts, at once civilized and rugged, and rich in history and seemingly untouched.
Most residents live in the eastern half of the state. Omaha, on the state’s eastern border, is the largest city. In Omaha you can tour the Durham Western Heritage Museum, which is housed in the old Union Station, a model of art deco architecture. Catch a performance of the Omaha Symphony, and see the birth site of civil rights leader Malcolm X.
