About Denmark
Smallest of the Scandinavian countries, Denmark occupies the lowland area of the Jutland peninsula. The country also consists of several islands in the Baltic Sea; the two largest are Sjælland, the site of Copenhagen, and Fyn.
It borders on Germany in the south, the North Sea in the west, the Skagerrak in the north, and the Kattegat and the Øresund in the east.
