Grenada, the most southerly of the Windward Islands, is a colorful, robust travel destination that is wonderfully rough around the edges.
Dubbed the “Spice Island” because of its production of nutmeg, mace, cinnamon, ginger and cloves, Grenada has a rugged mountainous interior of rain forests and waterfalls as well as protected bays and beaches.
Grenada isn’t just one island — it’s three. Its smaller sister islands, Carriacou and Petite Martinique, can be reached by ferry.
